- EXPERIMENTAL PHYTO- & BIO-REMEDIATION -
The experimental studies are focused on
the development of site-specific planning and validation methods of
phytormediation systems (es. rhizodegradation of organic pollutants,
green barriers for aerodispersed pollutants).
- One of the
aims of this studies is to gain knowledge about pollutants
degradation (PAH - Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) in
polluted soils, using several plant species:
- The experiments are developed
in distinct experimental environments: in
situ, greenhouse
and laboratory:
- Besides short
chronic toxicity tests are carried out on seeds in laboratory (Method UNICHIM n. 1651
Edition 2003):
